New Logo!

I've been slowly tweaking the design of the site to give it a fresher look. The logo, in its old format, started to bug me. I was torn, however, with redesigning it because the orange "dot" had been part of our brand for so long. At least 10 years. But, it was time for a change.
You will also notice that I've moved the search box into the red navigation bar on every page. There was a lot of dead space in the header of the site because the search bar just sort of sat there by itself. This change moves the content up a little higher too, so you're looking at more of the recipe without having to scroll.
I've got one more big change coming this week which will (hopefully!) improve the funcationality of some of the recipe tools. Submitting reviews/photos, sending a recipe via email, and saving recipes to either your recipe box or to MasterCook software will all get an easy new interface. Yay!
The next big project after that is updating our mobile site. Yeah, we have one. It's been mostly broken for the past few years though. It was designed before smartphones so it clearly needs a boost. I've been planning out the new site in my head for a couple of months now. It's time to finally put it into action. I don't have a release date for it but watch the blog, Facebook, etc for the announcement.
And speaking of Facebook... we're only 14 fans away from hitting 15K. Considering we took well over a year off really using it, I'm happy to see the growth now. So if you're not already a fan... (hint hint: like us here)
