Dan Thompson

Dan Thompson is creator of the syndicated comic strip Rip Haywire, distributed by United Feature syndicate. He began his professional career doing character design and animation for FunnyBone Interactive, part of Vivendi Universal, then moved into freelance cartoon illustration and gag cartooning.

A member of the National Cartoonists Society, he writes and draws cartoons for magazines, greeting cards, comic books and Web sites. His clients include MAD Kids, MAD magazine, DC Comics, Platinum Studios, Hank Ketcham Enterprises (for Dennis the Menace), Marian Heath greeting cards, and Bow Tie Publishing. Dan produces the comic strip Dot-Comics exclusively for CDKitchen.
