Red Lobster's Biscuits Without Bisquick

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
8 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Stir dry ingredients together and cut in shortening. Stir in milk just until dough cleans the bowl. Stir in cheese.

Combine margarine, garlic, and minced parsley in 9 x 13 pan. Form dough into biscuit size balls. Drop into melted mixture and turn to coat. Bake at 450 degrees F for 10-12 minutes until golden.
