Ingredients: 4 pounds lean beef short ribs 1 large tomato, chopped 1 cup beef broth 1/4 cup red wine 1 small onion, finely chopped 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 3 tablespoons cornstarch 3 tablespoons water
Directions: In a slow cooker, combine ribs, tomato, broth, wine, onion, horseradish, salt, pepper, and the ginger. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 7 hours. Remove meat from the cooker, cover, and keep warm.
Turn the control on High. Dissolve cornstarch in water in a small bowl. Stir in constarch mixture into the cooker. Cover and cook on High for 15 to 20 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Spoon sauce over meat.
