
Brown Rice And Chicken

1 cup diced cooked chicken
2 onions, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
2 cups cooked brown rice
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup sliced almonds
Combine the chicken, onions, celery, and brown rice in the crock pot. Stir in the wine and broth. Cover, cook on low for 4-6 hours (or on high for 2-3).
Just before serving, toast the almonds in a skillet or on a baking sheet under the broiler. Serve the chicken and rice with toasted almonds on top.
