Ingredients: 1 can (14 ounce size) sweetened condensed milk 1 1/2 cup whole milk 1 cup almond powder 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom 1 pinch saffron 2 tablespoons dried cherries
Directions: Heat the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk and almond powder in a pot and cook on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the cardamom, saffron and dried cherries.
Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches a creamy consistency and can coat the back of a wooden spoon.
Pour into serving dishes and chill for 4 to 5 hours. Garnish with sliced almonds, if desired.
