Ingredients: 1 cup popcorn kernels 1 cup granulated white sugar 1 cup corn syrup 1 package (3 ounce size) Jell-O gelatin powder (any flavor)
Directions: Pop the popcorn kernels as directed on package. Let cool.
In a heavy saucepan, combine the corn syrup, sugar, and gelatin. Bring to a strong boil for 2 minutes over medium-high heat. Then, remove the pan from the heat.
Place the popcorn in a large, heatproof bowl. Drizzle the jello mixture carefully over the popcorn, while gently stirring/tossing it, and continue to mix until it is well coated in the mixture.
Let the popcorn cool enough to handle. Butter your hands then form the popcorn into balls about the size of a tennis ball (or you can make them larger or smaller, as desired). Place on waxed paper to set.
Individually wrap the popcorn balls in plastic wrap. The popcorn balls will keep for 4-5 days at room temperature.
