Serves/Makes: 6 | Ready In: 1-2 hrs
2 pounds ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 jar (28 ounce size) spaghetti sauce
8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 2 1/2 quart baking dish.
Brown the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper in a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off excess grease.
Stir the spaghetti sauce, pasta, water, garlic salt, and black pepper into the beef mixture. Mix well then pour it into the greased baking dish.
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and sprinkle the top of the pasta evenly with the Mozzarella. Return to the oven and bake, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the goulash is bubbly.
Serve hot.
