Ingredients: 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce 1/3 cup honey 1/4 cup tomato sauce 2 tablespoons dry sherry 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar 1 teaspoon five spice powder 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger root 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Directions: Combine all the ingredients in a glass bowl and whisk well to combine. Use immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Use as a basting sauce while cooking beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp.
