
Healthier Oatmeal Waffles

2 cups rolled oats
2 cups water
1 medium banana, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the waffle iron as directed by the manufacturer. Grease the iron if necessary.
Combine the oats, water, banana, honey, salt, and vanilla in a blender. Process until smooth, scraping down the sides of the blender container as needed.
Let the waffle batter stand for 3 minutes. If it is too thick, add additional water.
Fill the waffle grids with the batter (amount will depend on the size of the waffle iron) and cook until golden brown and steam is coming from the waffles.
Remove the oatmeal waffles carefully and serve hot with desired toppings.
