
Ham and Asparagus Orzo

28 ounces chicken broth
1 1/4 cup orzo pasta
1 pound asparagus, ends trimmed, cut in 1" pieces
6 ounces deli ham, cut in small strips
1/2 cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
In medium saucepan over high heat, bring broth and 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add orzo; simmer 15 minutes or until orzo is tender and broth has been absorbed, stirring often.
Meanwhile, in a medium skillet over high heat, bring 1/4 cup water to a boil. Add asparagus; simmer about 5 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
Stir asparagus into cooked orzo in saucepan over low heat, along with ham and cheese, until ham is warmed through and cheese melts.
