Get soft towels, blankets, and clothes with this homemade fabric softener. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for a fresh scent.

2 cups white vinegar
2 cups baking soda
4 cups water
Combine the vinegar, baking soda, and water in a large pitcher. Mix gently. Pour the mixture into a plastic bottle and place the cap on. Store at room temperature.
To use the fabric softener, add 1/4 cup of the mixture to the washing machine during the final rinse cycle (if your machine has a fabric softener dispenser you can add it there when you load the machine).
