Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

These are easy to make. Thanks
Maybe the lesson learned from the previous comment is to ALWAYS taste a dish before serving to a guest and make it far enough ahead so that you can provide an alternative if necessary.

They were very hard....I wouldnt recomend melting the caramel at all.....just melt the chocolate and drizzle over the pecans and caramel....needless to say I was pretty dissapointed and embarrased when the caramels were rock hard and stuck to my guests teeth! and I followed the directions carefully.
