Neapolitan Pork Chops

ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 pork loin chops, cut 1/2-inch thick
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 pound fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
2 green bell peppers, chopped
1/2 cup tomatoes, sieved
3 tablespoons dry white wine
directions
Heat oil in a large heavy skillet. Add garlic and cook in skillet until lightly browned.
Season chops with salt and pepper, then put in skillet and brown on both sides.
Add mushrooms, green peppers, sieved tomatoes and wine. Cover and cook over low heat about 1 hour or until tender.
