This is way too spicy. It is inedible. I think that 1/2 cup chili sauce is a typo. Maybe it should be 1/2 tsp or Tbs.
I think you misunderstand what chili sauce is. It's a bottled sauce that's often used for shrimp cocktail. It's like a spicier ketchup (in fact, it's often sold near the ketchup in stores). It's not "hot sauce" like Tabasco. Chili sauce is a common ingredient in making cocktail sauce.
