Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

In a word---boring.Reminded me of canned spaghetti. I can't imagine what the pasta would be like after 4 hours. We ate after 2 and it was becoming really mushy. I added some siracha and chili pepper flakes at the end to try to give it SOME kind of flavor--pasta was just way too soft. Will not make again.

This was excellent for a cold winter night. It really seemed like a cross between chili and traditional spaghetti. Pretty easy, too. I recommend it.

This recipe really hit the spot! I under-cooked the pasta so it wouldn't get overcooked in the crock pot. I did add more tomato juice to account for the extra liquid absorption from the pasta.

This is how I always make spaghetti. We love it. I add the cheese at the end though not at the beginning.
