Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Pineapple Mint Iced Tea

ingredients
6 cups cold water
5 regular size tea bags
OR
2 family-size tea bags
6 sprigs fresh mint
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup lemon juice
2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
1 quart ginger ale
directions
Bring the first three ingredients (water, tea bags, and mint) to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and mint.
While warm add the sugar, lemon juice, and pineapple juice and stir. Chill well.
Just before serving, add the ginger ale.
Serve over ice.
