- #33626
1-2 hrs
ingredients
2 pounds beef round steak (or any steak will do)
1 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 pound bag frozen soup vegetables (assorted vegetables)
1 pound bag frozen Brussels sprouts
1 bag frozen hash brown potatoes
1 can tomatoes
McCormick's Creole Seasoning
garlic powder or salt
directions
Cut meat into bite-sized chunks and brown in olive oil. Add frozen vegetables and a nice amount of the hash brown potatoes and dash liberally with Creole seasoning. Dash slightly with garlic salt. Stir well. Add enough tomatoes juice to make a nice thick sauce and dash more Creole seasoning/mix to taste.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are cooked and/or reduce heat for desired thickness of tomatoes sauce.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
