The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1 cup milk
1 1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Combine the milk, cream, vanilla, and orange extract in a bowl. Mix well. Cover and place in the refrigerator until well chilled (about an hour).
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs on medium speed with an electric mixer. Add the sugar and beat on medium speed until well incorporated.
Fold the egg mixture into the chilled milk mixture. Place in a freezer container and place in the freezer. Freeze, stirring occasionally, until slushy.
Stir the chocolate chips into the partially frozen ice cream so they are evenly distributed. Return the container to the freezer and let freeze until solid.
Use pasteurized eggs or egg substitute. You can freeze in an ice cream machine if desired (follow manufacturers instructions).
