Slow Cooker Lentil And Cod Chowder

ingredients
1 cup dried lentils
5 cups cold water
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/8 teaspoon dried tarragon
2 cups diced vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, celery, green beans, or tomatoes
1 pound cod fillet, cut 1" squares
1/4 cup orange juice
directions
Combine the lentils and water in the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6 hours.
Add parsley, bay leaf, black pepper, thyme, and tarragon. Stir in the vegetables. Cover again and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the vegetables and lentils are soft.
Turn the heat to high. Add the fish and cook for 30-60 minutes or until the fish is cooked and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove the bay leaf and stir in the orange juice before serving.

Loved this recipe. I used pollock instead of cod, potatoes, carrots, onions, and garlic along with the lentils and spices. It was sooooo good!! definitely a keeper!
