I have made this for years. We call it "moose turds". It is my daughters favorite. I usually make it for CHristmas and on her birthday. She is now 16 and still expects it. It is a family tradition in our home!

My mom and I have made this recipe for years now. In our house it's called "trash". We melt the butter, peanut butter & chocolate in the microwave then pour it over the cereal that is in a small kitchen trash bag. Keep some air in the bag and twist the top and flip and shake it around. When the cereal is coated then do the some with the icing sugar until the cereal is evenly coated. Then dump it into a bowl. It makes for easy clean up.

The taste was good but making it was a little on the messy side. I used extra crunchy peanut butter and of course I served it in a dog dish. If this is served at a children's function don't forget to mention that peanut butter is included.

If you have a sweet tooth, this will definitely satiate it. I love peanut butter and chocolate, so this was perfect! Be sure to use semi sweet or dark chocolate otherwise it'll be way too sweet. Also, you can afford to take it easy on the powdered sugar.

Instead of putting the peanut butter, butter, and chocolate chips on the stove you could melt it in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Then continue with the rest of directions.

I was a little heavy on the peanutbutter so added 1 cup more of cereal. Puppy chow is the fuel my son uses to pole vault!
Sectionals are tomorrow. State next week!

I have to say that this recipe is awesome. We made this in Practical Living and it was wonderful. I now bring it to my grandmas and share it with all the neighbors because everyone loves it. This recipe has taken over cheeseball and is now the "BIGGEST HIT" in the family.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
