ingredients
1 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups granulated sugar
7 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a small bowl, combine cocoa with butter, stirring until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Stir in cocoa mixture. Blend in eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper.
Pour into a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until center is set.

I made these for an office Cinco de Mayo party, and everyone loved them. They took longer to bake than the recipe said. Next time I might try putting them in two smaller pans to speed up baking time. Also, I added the cinnamon, pepper and vanilla earlier than the recipe called for just to make sure they were well blended with the other ingredients. I will definitely be making these again!
