ingredients
1 1/2 cup eggnog
1 cup milk
4 eggs, beaten
ground cinnamon
ground nutmeg
powdered sugar
12 slices French bread (1.5 inch thick)
margarine or butter
directions
Preheat griddle to 350 degrees F.
Mix eggnog, milk and eggs together in shallow pan or casserole dish. Dip bread slices into egg mixture and coat well on both sides.
Sprinkle each side with cinnamon and nutmeg and place on a griddle greased with butter or margarine. Cook bread slices on griddle for about 5 minutes on each side or until lightly browned and they are cooked through.
Remove to a serving platter and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with butter and hot maple syrup if desired.
