The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1/3 cup purple grape juice
3 large scoops vanilla ice cream
directions
Put grape juice and ice cream in blender container. Cover and blend on high speed 10 to 15 seconds. Pour into tall glass. Serve right away.
