Directions:

Place all items in a large pot; set over low heat; stirring to dissolve sugar. Slowly heat, stirring occasionally: DO NOT LET IT COME TO A FULL BOIL. Put through a fine strainer before serving. (I ladle it through the strainer into serving cups).

An optional step is to thin slice an orange (and some lemon or lime) and float the slices in the pot for about 10 minutes before serving, and then remove.

Notes: - A crock pot set to low keeps the cider warmed without boiling. - I've tried the good and the no-name brands of tinned apple juice and find it turns out the same. - In a large batch, I've added a quart of cranberry juice as well.
