The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
6 large potatoes
1/2 cup butter
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup bacon bits
salt
black pepper
3/4 cup sour cream
6 stalks green onion tops
directions
Boil, bake, or microwave the potatoes. Cut potatoes in half and arrange in a large casserole dish (leaving skins on potatoes), and press down with a fork.
Spread butter over potatoes. Spread bacon bits over butter. Add salt and pepper. Spread grated cheese over top.
Bake until hot and cheese is melted. Spread sour cream over casserole and top with chopped green onion top.
