5 pounds chicken wingettes
2 small bottles of Durkee red hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup butter


You will need to deep fry the chicken pieces until they are golden brown, about 10 minutes.

Add pepper sauce to sauce pan along with the butter, and bring to a simmer. Add the browned chicken to the sauce and simmer until the next batch of chicken is done.

Take the simmering chicken out of sauce and place on a cookie sheet single layered. When the cookie sheet is full put in the oven at 350 degrees F for approximately 30 minutes.

Serve with blue cheese and celery sticks. Enjoy

REVIEW: recipe rating
I get hot wings at restaurants all the time but I have nver made them myself. I had to say, I was a bit concerned about the simplicity of this. I deep fried the chicken. Tossed it with the sauce. Baked it. And... YES! Bar quality hot wings! and here I"ve been paying restaurant prices when I could be doing it this simply. Only change was I didn't have blue cheese dressing so I used ranch.
