ingredients

2 pounds ground beef
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 1/2 cup chunky-style salsa
1 can refrigerated pizza crust
1 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

directions

Heat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Spread the pizza dough onto a pizza pan or large baking pan, pressing out to form an even crust.

Bake the crust for 8 minutes or until just lightly browned.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and drain off any fat. Stir in the taco seasoning mix (do not add water as directed on package).

Spread the salsa in an even layer on the baked crust. Top with the seasoned ground beef, then the cheeses.

Bake for 7-12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and the crust is baked through and edges are golden brown.

REVIEW: recipe rating
We really enjoyed this mexican pizza! It was really easy to make and tasted great, although nothing too fancy. We used 1.5lb of ground beef instead of 2 and it was more than enough for us. Next time we will probably use 1 lb, but we aren't huge meat eaters. Also, we bought pre-made pizza crust because our store didn't have the canned kind, and it was still great- actually it was easier because you only had to bake it once. I would definitely recommend this recipe if you want a simple and tasty mexican pizza!
