Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

ingredients
2 pkgs (8 ounce size) cream cheese
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup half-and-half cream
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
16 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
directions
Turn crock pot on high, spray with Pam. Mix everything together until creamy and no chunks. Add crumbled bacon. Stir occasionally until you are ready to serve. Usually takes 2-3 hours to blend the flavoring in nicely.
Serve with: Tortilla chips, French bread slices or Frito Scoops. It is also great used on top of a baked potato!
When reheating, if it is REALLY thick, add a bit of milk to thin it out.
