Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Does anyone know how much bread you are supposed to use? I'm not sure I did it right because I had to guess. Is it just supposed to be a single layer or like more than that. I just did a single layer and it didn't really turn out. the flavor was really excellent but the texture wasn't very good. I think I did it wrong.
