The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1/2 cup nonfat buttermilk
1 cup low-fat mayonnaise
2/3 cup fat-free sour cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic, pressed
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 tablespoons sugar (or sugar substitute)
directions
Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl. Blend or whisk until texture is smooth. Cover.
Refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.
