This really is one of the tastiest blue cheese dressings. It has the right balance of blue cheese, mayo, sour cream, vinegar, and just a pinch of cayenne pepper.

1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2/3 cup crumbled bleu cheese
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar or white vinegar
1 pinch cayenne pepper
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Whisk together until well mixed. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to 3 days.
For a chunkier dressing, whisk together all the ingredients except the bleu cheese. Gently fold in the bleu cheese then cover and chill.

Brent is really finicky about his blue cheese salad dressing. Whether it is for his favorite wedge salad or for dipping hot wings in, it's got to have the right balance of blue cheese and mayo. This recipe, much to my relief, was dead on as far as he was concerned. Better than any store bought variety, that's for sure!
