1 1/2 cup shredded cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix) 1 can (9-1/4 oz size) tuna (water pack), drained & broken into chunks 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional) 2 tablespoons mayo or sandwich spread 2 tablespoons buttermilk ranch, creamy cucumber, or creamy Parmesan salad dressing 2 hoagie buns, split & toasted 2 ounces cheddar cheese or Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
In a medium bowl toss shredded cabbage with carrot and tuna. In a small bowl stir mayo (or sandwich spread), ranch, cucumber, or Parmesan salad dressing, and liquid smoke. Toss dressing mix with tuna mix. Spread tuna mix evenly on hoagie bun bottoms. Place on unheated rack of broiler pan. Broil 4 - 5 " from heat for 2 - 3 minutes or until heated through. Top with cheese. Broil 30 - 60 seconds more or until cheese melts. Top with hoagie bun tops.
