Orange-Glazed Vegetables

ingredients
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup frozen crinkle-cut carrots
1 package (6 ounce size) frozen pea pods
1/2 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
1/3 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
directions
In a medium saucepan, bring water to boiling. Add carrots and return to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 6 minutes.
Add pea pods and return to boiling. Cover and simmer about 2 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain well.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine orange peel, orange juice, sugar, cornstarch and ginger. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, then cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Pour over cooked vegetables, stirring to coat.
