Slow Cooker Bacon Cheese Potatoes

ingredients
1/4 pound bacon, diced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, thinly sliced
salt and pepper
butter
directions
Line crockpot with foil, leaving enought overlap potatoes when finished. Layer half each of the bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese in crockpot. Season to taste and dot with butter. Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese. Dot with butter. Overlap with remaining foil. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours.

My family loved it! I doubled this using diced red potatoes. The foil made cleanup easy. We don't like sour cream and I don't like using soup. This is a great alternative.

I skipped the foil part entirely and just made this in the slowcooker. It turned out excellent. I used shredded cheddar and only one onion too.

I was afraid that foil would rip so I used a crock pot liner instead. Recipe was delicious! Easy clean up too.
