Hibiscus Lemongrass Tea

- #35078
under 30 minutes
ingredients
2 cups very hot water (180 degrees F)
2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
1 tablespoon rosehips
1 teaspoon dried, shredded lemongrass
directions
Steep about five minutes (longer if you like, but no more than 15 minutes or it gets bitter). Sweeten if you like, but I like it as is.
Sometimes in cold weather I put a couple of cloves and a little piece of cinnamon bark in it. It is good iced too.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
