over 5 hrs
ingredients
8 ounces pure soap flakes
2 tablespoons corn oil (plus extra for brushing)
5 tablespoons clear honey
1 teaspoon oil of cloves
directions
Put the soap flakes, corn oil, and honey into the top of a double boiler and stir occasionally until the ingredients have blended.
Stir in the oil of cloves, and continue stirring until the mixture thickens and resists the movement of the spoon.
Turn the mixture into greased molds or individual dessert dishes and put them in a warm, dry place to set. This may take two weeks or more, depending on the volume of each bar.
Unmold the soap and polish with a soft cloth and a dab of corn oil if desired to make them shiny.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
