  under 30 minutes

ingredients

1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup distilled witch hazel lotion
2 drops chamomile essential oil
2 drops marjoram essential oil
2 drops cypress essential oil

directions

In a bowl, add the cold water and witch hazel. Add the essential oils and stir well to disperse. Soak a piece of flannel in the compress solution. Squeeze the cloth and apply to the affected joint. Cover with plastic wrap.

If you have an ice pack, lay that over the plastic and cover with a towel. Elevate the sprained joint during the treatment. When the compress becomes dry or warm replace it with a fresh one. Continue the compress for 20 minutes.

Do this treatment 3 times per day.
