A layered punch drink in the popular colors celebrated at Mardi Gras. Grape juice, pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, and vodka are layered on top of each other to create this festive drink.

1 bottle (40 ounce size) grape juice, chilled
1 can (48 ounce size) unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
1 bottle (2 liter size) lemon-lime soda, chilled
1 bottle (750 ml size) vodka, or more, to taste
2 oranges or lemons
2 limes
Fill a Bundt pan 1 1/2 inches full of grape juice. Place in the freezer until frozen (about 4-6 hours or overnight).
Remove the Bundt pan from the freezer and let it melt just enough to remove the ice from the pan. Place the ice ring in the bottom of a large punch bowl.
Add the remaining grape juice, pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, and vodka to the punch bowl. Gently stir to mix.
Thinly slice the oranges and limes and float them on top of the punch. Serve the punch (about 1/2 cup per serving) in small decorative cups.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

I didn't make this for mardi gras but rather for a party at a club we belong to. It was cool how it layered but it mixed up kinda easily. Very tasty and not too potent.
