Basic Fried Noodle Cake Recipe

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound fresh wheat noodles, regular or extra-thin
OR
1 package (10-ounce size) dry Oriental-style noodles
Directions:
Boil fresh noodles in a large pot of water for 5 minutes, or cook dry noodles according to package directions. Rinse with cold water and drain well.
Heat a 12-inch nonstick skillet over high heat and add oil, swirling to coat entire bottom. Pan-fry noodles over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes or until browned, checking the color every now and then. Flip noodles and pan-fry the other side. Transfer noodles to a plate.
