Apple Butter Ribs

ingredients
4 pounds pork ribs
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
1/4 cup water
1 can tomato soup
1 cup apple butter
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 dash ground ginger
directions
Cut ribs into serving size portions. Place in a shallow roasting pan and sprinkle generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cover with foil and bake in 375 degrees F oven for 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan, heat and simmer 45 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the roasting pan and place on grill over hot coals. Baste with sauce. Cook ribs, basting frequently, for 30 minutes or until done. Turn the ribs every 10 minutes. Serve with extra sauce.

Wow, didn't know I could get Apple Butter in Arizona, but I found it and made this meal exactly as recipe suggested. It was wonderful. No leftovers to put in the frige, and I doubled it.
