INGREDIENTS:

4 quarts tomatoes, peeled, chop -- strained
3 cups vinegar
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon allspice
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Combine tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, allspice, cinnamon, cloves, salt and pepper in large saucepan. Cook until reduced by half, stirring frequently. Spoon into hot sterlized jars, leaving 1/2 inch space at top; seal with canning lids.
