A little bit of whiskey enhances the smoky flavor of these saucy baked beans. A must-have side dish for your next barbecue.

2 cans (16 ounce size) pork and beans
1/4 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey
2 tablespoons liquid smoke
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 small onion, minced
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 green bell pepper, seeded and minced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Place the dish in the oven, uncovered, and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 1/2 hours. If the beans start to get too browned, cover the pan lightly with foil.
