Craig's Baked Grits Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup grits, regular or instant
1/2 pound grated sharp Cheddar cheese
8 tablespoons butter
3 eggs, well beaten
1/3 cup milk PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
1 tablespoon milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook grits according to package directions. Regular grits require 25 to 30 minutes of slow cooking; quick-cooking grits will take 3 to 5 minutes.
Stir in the cheese, butter, eggs, and milk, and pour into a buttered 3-cup baking dish.
Bake 40 minutes or longer, or until set.
