Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Oven-Fried Honey Sesame Chicken

ingredients
1/3 cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup melted margarine
1 dash garlic powder
freshly ground black pepper
salt, to taste
3 pounds chicken, cut up
2/3 cup sesame seed
directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
Mix together honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, margarine, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Brush chicken with mixture, then sprinkle with sesame seed.
Place chicken, skin side up, on ungreased non-stick 13-by-9-inch baking pan. Bake in preheated oven for about 1 1/2 hours, or until chicken is fork-tender, basting occasionally with pan drippings.

I think there is an error in this recipe. At 400 degrees, it should probably bake only 1/2 hour. I didn't leave it in the oven as long as the recipe stated and I even lowered the temperature for a while. The chicken was too well done.
