Garden Swiss Steak Recipe

Ingredients:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 pound round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 can condensed golden mushroom soup
1/2 cup water
1 medium green pepper, cut into strips
6 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup chopped fresh tomatoes
Hot cooked rice
Directions:
Pound flour into round steak until all absorbed and meat is slightly flattened. Cut steak into serving-size pieces.
In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot oil, cook meat until browned on both sides.
Add garlic, bay leaf and pepper. Spoon soup over meat; add water. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low. Cover, simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Add green pepper, green onions and tomato. Cover, simmer 30 minutes more or until meat is tender. Discard bay leaf. Serve with rice.
