Saute onion in 1 tablespoon butter until soft. Add garlic and 1 tablespoon butter and saute 1 minute. Add tomatoes and remaining butter and saute about 3 minutes.
Add all ingredients except for cornstarch mixture and simmer until soft, but not mushy. Add cornstarch to thicken.
