fresh basil leaves
Directions:
I just clip the leaves, put them in plastic bags, and put them in the freezer.
Come Spring, after a long winter, they are fine for soups, stews, etc. I also make a lot of pesto at the end of the season, and freeze it in small canning jars or plastic containers. What a joy to have it early in the Spring, before the new batch of basil is even planted!
