ingredients
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup molasses
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 9x9x2" square pan.
Place all ingredients in bowl and beat on low speed for 30 seconds, scrape bowl and beat on medium speed for 3 minutes.
Pour into pan and bake for 30 minutes.
