Spanish Pork Chops

ingredients
4 pork chops
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large can canned stewed tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 package beef-flavored rice mix
2 1/4 cups water, boiling
4 cups canned stewed tomatoes
directions
Season pork chops with salt. Brown in oil. Remove from skillet.
Add rice to skillet and brown (adding additional butter if needed).
Make a broth with contents of seasoning envelope from rice mix in boiling water. Add the broth to the browned rice mix. Add stewed tomatoes. Stir.
Return chops to skillet and cover. Simmer without further stirring until meat is tender and liquid absorbed, approximately 35-45 minutes.

This looks like a scrumptious pork chop meal! Are the two different callouts for stewed tomatoes accurate? 1 lg can stewed tomatoes & next 4 cups stewed tomatoes?
Can't say for sure, but I wonder if the person who submitted it meant to say 1 large can OR 4 cups of the stewed tomatoes?
